Look at any street style blog, flip through a current fashion mag, or check out snapshots from spring runway shows, and it’s easy to see that prints and patterns–from florals to geometrics–are having a moment in the spotlight. And not suprisingly, we’re seeing the trend trickle down to weddings.

For spring and summer nuptials, we fully advocate hopping on the pattern play bandwagon and dressing bridesmaids in floral prints and patterns. Think bold poppies, romantic roses, and vintage Liberty prints. To help your garden inspiration grow, check out five of our favorite floral frocks for bridesmaids.

1. Hitherto Out-Of-Doors dress, BHLDN

 2. Postiano printed floral v-neck dress, Watters

3. May Flowers dress in WaterColor Floral, Ivy & Aster

 4. Tracy Reese Parc de Bagatell dress, BHLDN

5. Isabella print bridesmaid dress, Dessy

Style Tip: When dressing your maids in colorful prints like the ones above, choose shoes and accessories in solid, complementary colors. And don’t overdo the jewelry–tiny baubles will get lost against small-scale prints and too many jewels could end up looking junky. Stick to one or two statement pieces, like a necklace, chandelier earrings, or a cuff bracelet.

If you tend to shy away from prints but are digging this trend, try mixing up your maids’ dresses for a toned down version of this style. Have one maid wear a floral patterned frock, the other maid a solid color dress, and so on. Just keep the dresses in the same color family for a cohesive look.

Brides and maids, what do you think of this trend? Brides, would you dress your maids in a floral print? Maids, would you want to wear a patterned dress? Share your thoughts below!
